  • 1 pound turkey ; ground
  • 1 onions ; chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 28 ounces tomatoes ; canned, crushed
  • 16 ounces kidney beans ; canned, drained, rinsed and mashed
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano ; dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic ; minced

     Prep: 10 min | Cook: 45 min | Ready in: 55 min
    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the turkey and cook until evenly browned.

    Add the onion and cook until tender.

    Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer, covered, for at least 30 minutes.
