Ingredients (serves 30)

  • 18 ounces cranberries ; fresh
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups apples ; peeled, cored, diced
  • 3/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 0.1875 teaspoon cloves
  • 3/8 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 1/8 cups sugar

  • You will also need: saucepan

    Directions

    1. Combine water and sugar in a large saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
    2. Add apples, cider vinegar, raisins, the spices and cranberries.
    3. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Pour into a bowl, and cover with plastic wrap.
    4. Refrigerate, or cool to room temperature and serve. Original recipe yields 2 1/2 cups.
