Ingredients (serves 12)

  • 36 ounces fettuccine
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons cayenne pepper ; ground
  • 3 cups sour cream ; reduced fat
  • 2 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 1/4 cups parmesan cheese
  • 6 whole red bell pepper ; julienned
  • 9 cloves garlic ; minced
  • salt ; to taste
  • black pepper ; to taste

     Prep: 15 min | Cook: 20 min | Ready in: 35 min
    1. Cook fettuccini according to package directions, and drain.
    2. Saute garlic, cayenne pepper and red bell peppers in a large skillet sprayed with cooking spray over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
    3. Add the broth and sour cream, and simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes. Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese. Toss the fettuccini with the sauce. Season to taste with black pepper and salt.

    this is a great sauce. if you add something extra to it, like chicken, it would be a good idea to make some more of the sauce with it.

    Very tasty and easy to make. You may want to simmer longer to thicken the sauce more.
