Ingredients (serves 12)

  • 4 cups macaroni ; dry
  • 1/2 cup onions ; red, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cup celery ; diced
  • 2 tablespoons parsley ; minced
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt ; plus more to taste
  • black pepper ; to taste
  • 6 tablespoons sour cream

  • Directions

    Soak the minced onion in cold water for 5 minutes, and then drain.

    Cook macaroni according to package directions. Rinse and drain.

    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Store in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 days.
