Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Beef  (Not yet rated)

Any beef roast will work with this recipe. Roast thicker than 3 inches should be cut in half to get tender enough in 8 hours to shred.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1.16666666667 pounds beef ; chuck roast
  • 0.333333333333 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.333333333333 cup tomato ketchup
  • 0.666666666667 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.111 cup wine vinegar ; red
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.166666666667 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.333333333333 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.111 cup root beer
  • 0.166666666667 cup brown sugar

  • You will also need: whisk, slow cooker


    Place the beef roast in a the slow cooker.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients.

    Pour the mixture over the roast.  Set the cooker to low heat and let cook for 8 hours or until fork tender.

    Use 2 forks to shred the beef and combine with the sauce.  Serve as an entree or on sandwiches.
