Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 bunch asparagus ; trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic ; minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt ; or sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • Directions

    1. Preheat an oven to 425F (220C)
    2. Toss asparagus in a mixing bowl with olive oil to coat.
    3. Sprinkle with parmesan, salt, pepper and garlic.
    4. Arrange asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
    5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness.
    6. Drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
