Ingredients (serves 6)

  • 1 pound beef ; ground
  • 1 large onions ; chopped
  • 32 ounces tomato soup ; canned, plain or cream of
  • 16 ounces kidney beans
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 28 ounces tomatoes ; canned, diced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • Directions

    1. Add the onion and beef to a large pot and cook until the beef is browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the fat.
    2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer, covered, for 2 hours.
