  • 2.3333333333333 cups sugar
  • 18.666666666667 cups cherries ; pitted
  • 1.1666666666667 cups lemon juice ; freshly squeezed
  • 1.554 cups cognac ; use Courvoisier
  • vanilla ice cream ; vanilla
  • 1.554 cups Grand Marnier
  • 9.3333333333333 teaspoons lemon zest ; grated
  • 9.3333333333333 teaspoons orange zest ; grated

    Directions

     Prep: 10 min | Cook: 37 min | Ready in: 47 min
    1. Put, sugar, cherries, lemon juice, Grand Marnier, and half of the orange and lemon zests in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook 25 minutes.
    2. Add remaining zest and simmer for 5 minutes.
    3. Stir in cognac and cook for 1 or 2 minutes.
    4. Scoop ice cream into dishes. Pour cherry mixture over ice cream and ignite. Serve immediately.
