Prep: 15 min | Cook: 30 min | Ready in: 45 min
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Saute the green pepper and onion until soft, about 10 minutes.
- Add the garlic, cooking for another 5.
- Let cool, and combine the cooked onion, green pepper and garlic in a food processor until finely minced.
- Combine bread crumbs, chili powder, cumin, salt and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Add the black beans to a large bowl and mash well with a fork.
- Add the bread crumb mixture, egg, and vegetable mixture. Combine completely.
- Form into 4 patties and grill on a preheated grill for 8 minutes per side.
