Traditional bulgur (Turkish) is a wheat grain that has been parboiled, dried, and has its bran removed. This is often confused with cracked wheat, which is not parboiled. Bulgur is often used in Middle Eastern cuisine, especially in soups and salads.


Bulgur is often found in recipes that also contain kidney beans, vegetable broth, cucumber and mint
