Ingredients (serves 12)

  • salt ; to taste
  • 1 cup onions ; diced
  • 1 cup potatoes ; raw, grated
  • 1/4 cup butter ; melted
  • black pepper ; to taste
  • 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
  • 2 pounds sauerkraut ; drained

    Saute onions in melted butter. Toss with sauerkraut, grated potatoes, and caraway seeds. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
