Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup bananas ; mashed
  • 1 whole egg(s)
  • 1/2 cup butter ; unsalted and melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips ; semisweet

  • Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
    In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    In a separate bowl, combine bananas, egg, melted butter and milk.
    Stir banna mixture into flour mixture until blended being careful not to over mix.
    Stir in chocolate chips.
    Pour batter into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 drgrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.(some chocolate, nbut no crumbs).

    This was pretty easy to make and came out great as-is. The cake itself is kind of short made in a 9x13 pan, like a brownie. If you want a taller cake then use a smaller pan, or try a bread pan if you can fit the batter, but that may change the bake time.
