Ingredients (serves 4961088)

  • 2480544 cups matzo farfel
  • 1240272 onions ; chopped
  • 1860408 cups mushroom ; chopped
  • 2480544 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2480544 cups chicken broth
  • 2480544 tablespoons oregano ; chopped
  • 1240272 teaspoons cumin
  • 620136 teaspoons turmeric

    Directions

     Prep: 10 min | Cook: 25 min | Ready in: 35 min
    1. Preheat oven to 350F (175C).
    2. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Sautee the onions for about 5 minutes or until translucent.
    3. Add the mushroom, and sautee until softened.
    4. Add the cumin and turmerc and mix well to incorporate.
    5. Add the farfel to a large bowl. Add salt, oregano, and the onion mixture. 
    6. Slowly add the broth, stirring to moisten the farfel. Adjust the broth as needed to prevent it from becoming too soggy.
    7. Spread the mixture evenly into an 8x8 inch baking dish.
    8. Bake for 15 minutes.
    9. Turn on broiler and broil for about 2 minutes or until the top has browned a bit.
