Cream together the butter, vanilla and sugars. Beat in the egg and add the remaining ingredients. Stir until blended well. Shape the dough into a log. Wrap it in wax paper and chill overnight. Slice
into 1/8 inch or 1/4 inch pieces. Place them onto a lightly greased or nonstick cookie sheet
at 350F (175C)for 10 to 15 minutes. Original recipe makes 36 cookies.
