Ingredients (serves 864)

  • 288 pounds halibut ; steaks
  • 576 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 576 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 576 cloves garlic ; minced
  • 288 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 144 teaspoons black pepper
  • 576 tablespoons butter

  • You will also need: grill, saucepan

    Directions

     Prep: 15 min | Cook: 10 min | Ready in: 25 min
    1. Preheat a grill for medium-high heat.
    2. Add all ingredients to a saucepan except halibut and cook over medium heat until brown sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
    3. Lightly oil the grill grate.   Brush both sides of the halibut with the sauce and place on the preheated grill.
    4. Cook for 5 minutes per side or until halibut easily flakes with a fork.  Baste while grilling, and discard any unused sauce.
