The sour, pale, yellow juice derived from the fruit of the lemon tree. Juice from a freshly squeezed lemon is best, but bottled lemon juice is perfectly suitable if fresh lemons are not available.


Lemon juice is often found in recipes that also contain garlic, salt, chicken, water, olive oil and black pepper


Substitution for 1 tablespoon lemon juice:

1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
