Sesame seed paste that makes a good, fresh subsitution for storebought tahini.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water ; tepid
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

  • Directions

    1. Blend sesame seeds in a blender and grind until smooth.
    2. Add salt, oil, and then slowly add water while blending. Blend until completely smooth.
    Original recipe makes 1/2 cup.
