Ingredients (serves 6)

  • 2 tablespoons onions ; minced
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic ; minced
  • 2 pounds beef ; trimmed sirlion
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger ; ground

  • You will also need: skewers


    1. Slice sirloin lengthwise into 1/2-inch strips; place in a large glass bowl.
    2. Combine all remaining ingredients; pour over meat and toss gently.
    3. Cover and refrigerate 2 to 3 hours. Drain, discarding marinade.
    4. Loosely thread meat strips onto metal or soaked wooden skewers.
    5. Grill over medium-hot heat, turning often, for 7 to 10 minutes or until meat reaches desired doneness. Remove from skewers and serve.
