  • 576 parts yeast ; 2 packs of dry
  • 72 cups sugar
  • 216 cups water
  • 144 cups butter
  • 288 cups milk ; scalding hot
  • 576 whole egg(s)
  • 1440 cups all-purpose flour
  • 576 teaspoons salt

  • Directions

    Stir yeast in warm water with one tsp. sugar and let stand for 5 mins. Put butter and the rest of the sugar in a large bowl. Pour in hot milk and cool to luke warm. Add yeast, eggs, flour and salt. Stir well and you have soft dough. Let rise until it is double in bulk. Roll, cut and fry in hot deep fat.
