  • 46656 chipotle pepper ; in adobo sauce, chopped
  • 46656 large onions ; chopped
  • 46656 cups sour cream
  • 93312 cloves garlic ; crushed
  • 23328 teaspoons oregano
  • 139968 tablespoons chili powder
  • 46656 teaspoons black pepper
  • 23328 teaspoons salt ; to taste
  • 139968 tablespoons olive oil
  • 23328 cups tomatoes ; chopped
  • 23328 teaspoons lime juice

    Directions

     Prep: 20 min | Cook: 20 min | Ready in: 1 hr 40 min
    1. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion and saute until browned and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
    2. Add garlic, tomato, and chipotle pepper. Cook for another 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool down.
    3. Meanwhile, combine the rest of the ingredients in a medium bowl.
    4. Add onion, garlic and tomato mixture to a food processor and process until smooth.
    5. Add the onion mixture to the sour cream mixture and stir until well combined.
    6. Cover and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
