  • 839808 chipotle pepper ; in adobo sauce, chopped
  • 839808 large onions ; chopped
  • 839808 cups sour cream
  • 1679616 cloves garlic ; crushed
  • 419904 teaspoons oregano
  • 2519424 tablespoons chili powder
  • 839808 teaspoons black pepper
  • 419904 teaspoons salt ; to taste
  • 2519424 tablespoons olive oil
  • 419904 cups tomatoes ; chopped
  • 419904 teaspoons lime juice

    Directions

     Prep: 20 min | Cook: 20 min | Ready in: 1 hr 40 min
    1. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion and saute until browned and caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
    2. Add garlic, tomato, and chipotle pepper. Cook for another 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool down.
    3. Meanwhile, combine the rest of the ingredients in a medium bowl.
    4. Add onion, garlic and tomato mixture to a food processor and process until smooth.
    5. Add the onion mixture to the sour cream mixture and stir until well combined.
    6. Cover and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
