Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olives ; sliced
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • ounce corn ; whole kernel
  • 1 egg(s) ; slightly beaten
  • 1/2 pound beef ; ground
  • 1/2 cup onions ; minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal

  • Directions

    Combine ground beef, onion and garlic powder in a skillet and cook until meat is browned and onion is tender. Stir in milk, egg, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt, cornmeal and olives. Spoon mixture into an 8x8 square baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes. Knife inserted into the middle should come out clean. Cut into squares and serve.
